Marijuana, mushrooms found growing in house

Billy W. Lawson, 31, 112 N. Clark, was arrested Friday after officers found marijuana and mushrooms growing in his house. Lt. Jim Norton, commander of the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force, said task force officers went to Lawson’s house after receiving a tip about possible drug activity. Officers found 71 marijuana plants in two locations in the house, along with two containers with about 20 spores of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Norton said about half a pound of processed marijuana also was found.
