About Ayuthaya: The Last capital of Thailand
Hi, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you images taken over several yeasr of visits to Ayuthaya, the last capital of Thailand before Bangkok. In the late 1700s, the Burmese invaders had rousted most of Thailand, and entered the country at Three Pagoda Pass. In this pictorial of Ayuthaya, one can see the three chedi's which represent Three Pagoda Pass where the Burmese crossed into Thailand, only to be later chased out a few months by Tak who became King Taksin the Great and thus thereafter, soon began the Charkri Dynasty.
